SEE FIRST HAND WHY THERE ARE “A MILLION REASONS TO WALK!”

On October 19th, 2008,  thousands of CHOC supporters walked through the Disneyland Resort at the 18th Annual CHOC/Disneyland® Resort Walk in the Park. This event, which benefits Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and CHOC at Mission, provided an unforgettable day of fun.

Upon arriving at Main Street, you soon realize this is more than a visit to Disneyland. It’s a celebration of the continuous support from our community. It’s a time for families to thank the doctors and nurses that cared for their children, and share their stories with other CHOC families.

Strolling through Disneyland® Park and Disney’s California Adventure® Park, we were joined by our favorite Disney friends – cheering us on and providing unique photo opportunities. We had the opportunity to see the parks as we have never seen them before! At the end of the 5K Walk, the celebration continued in Downtown Disney® District where event sponsors, hospital support groups, shops and restaurants had special offers for all Walk participants.

15,000 participants raised a record $1.6 million at last year’s Walk, which has helped to support the care, services, education and research that CHOC provides Orange County children. With your support, you helped make sure that every child who is in need of care will be taken care of regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
