In 2006, the Mr. Seal Beach Pageant was formed as a non-profit
organization designed to help young men and boys in an around the City of Seal Beach. The first pageant was held in
2007 at the Martha Knoebel Theatre on the campus of California State University of Long Beach.
The year ahead
was a wonderful experience. The young men assisted at the Special Olympic Games, raised money for Cystic Fibrosis and
Relay for Life (Cancer Awareness). They raised money for the Children's Hospital of Orange County as well as Interval
House (shelter for victims of abuse).
Furthermore, they participated in city events such as the 5K/10K run, the
Car Show, Summer Concerts, the Seal Beach Parade, Springfest, Reindeer on the Pier, Breakfast with Santa and much, much more.
The very first Mr. California USA winners were crowned on Saturday, May 17, 2008
at the very same Martha Knoebel Theatre at CSULB. The reaction was amazing and the opportunities are endless.
Congratulations
on pioneering this venture and speer heading our goal of giving back. Thank you!
